The Palm Beaches, Florida immediately conjures images of expensive rehab, Donald Trump and (other) rich, old white people. While I can’t say that these things are not there, my interactions with the first two were nil (thankfully) and the third, rare. There is more here than Mar-A-Lago. The Palm Beaches Family Getaway
The Palm Beaches are beautiful: the smell of luxury hangs in the air, Florida’s 0% tax on income obvious by the number of banks and wealth management companies that line the impeccably clean streets.
Five star restaurants such as Cafe Boloud at The Brazilian Court and Montreal born Chez L’Epicier serve mouth-watering Dover Sole, melt-in-your-mouth vanilla soufflés, deliciously indulgent bread pudding and moist, flaky salmon in beautifully curated surroundings. The Palm Beaches Family Getaway
We stayed at the beautiful Palm Beach Marriott on Singer Island in a perfect family two bedroom suite, where gigantic yachts line the marina. The luxurious outdoor mall, Downtown at The Gardens boasts unique shops that we had never heard of and may never see again. It was easy to feel important and (somewhat dangerously), very rich. Note: I am neither of those things.
But I was expecting this.
What surprised me about this destination was the focus on family and family friendly attractions. My toddler son was never bored, learning, exploring and experiencing new sights and sounds. In fact, all three of us were engaged, entertained and excited throughout our trip. From our meals to our day to day excursions, we were never short of fun in the sun! The Palm Beaches Family Getaway
