This holiday season will mark my 1st wedding anniversary and Teddy’s first Christmas. As pet parents, my husband and I are excited to celebrate with gifts
that Teddy will likely never understand and dress him in Christmas sweaters that would melt the heart of Frosty himself.
To kick off the festive (and furry) season, we went to Woofstock‘s Winterfest, a winter event purely for pooches held at Exhibition Place. There were lots of dog goodies for sale including Canada Pooch winter wear, all-natural treats
and new Christmas collars. A large patch of grass hosted prize winning doggie games that included the Pug races, catching tennis balls and other pet/pet parent activities. Teddy participated in the breadstick challenge (he had to go pick up a breadstick and bring it back to my husband) but just used the opportunity to take a public pee on the fake grass.
The most exciting part of Winterfest was the arrival of Santa- He brings dogs gifts too. Pets and their parents lined up to get a picture with the big guy in red and although it took a few shots, most managed to get the perfect picture of their puppy with Father Christmas.
Teddy politely declined but had a great time! This Doggie can’t wait until next year.
