I love an adventure but it can be equally as fun to plan an adventure for someone else. In this case, we were able to plan a trip for my Mum to celebrate her 60th birthday…I mean 50th. Planning An Adventure for Your VIP in Ontario
Due to scheduling conflicts, timing and Zika, it would be hard to get the whole family on a plane and away for an entire weekend but we knew we could give her a birthday experience she would never forget.
While we toiled with a weekend in Paris or a short haul to Vegas, we realized that Ontario boasts its own stunning landscapes, luxurious activities and fabulous foodie experiences. And best of all, the whole family (children and all) could participate. We were able to plan a spectacular celebration that left my Mum reeling with happiness. Calling ahead and organizing a trip that requires NOTHING from the VIP is the ultimate gift. Nothing beats an experience, especially one here in beautiful Ontario.
My Mum’s 3-day adventure was a total surprise and could not have happened without the help of the amazing staff at Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara-On-The-Lake and e11even restaurant in Toronto. Thank you for everything!
With Mother’s Day around the corner and warm summer weekends ahead, I highly recommend a similar itinerary, or indeed this one, to show your Mum, wife, partner (or yourself), how much you care.
Here we go:
Day 1
Drive to Prince of Wales Hotel on beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake with your sister.
Trolley wine tour of 3 top Niagara wineries. Sip, savour and bring home a bottle or two for the evening.
Day 2
Spa day ay Prince of Wales Secret Garden spa (voted Top 100 spas of 2015 by Spas of America). Enjoy manicures, pedicures and massages before retiring to the the hotel for high tea of the finest nature before returning to delicious Niagara wines.
Day 3
Drive to Toronto and check into the Downtown Hilton. Meet husband who will be waiting patiently waiting in the lobby with a bouquet of your favourite flowers.
Drive to daughter’s house to see son who drove down from Ottawa (surprise!), grandkids and rest of family. Drink champagne and eat cheese while everyone give you more gifts.
Finally…
Head to e11even restaurant with entire family where staff has laid the table with such care and precision, the menus even have your name on them.
Enjoy impeccable service from the entire team at e11even.
Enjoy your favourite foods from the outstanding menu, each option blowing your mind with freshness, taste and originality.
Drink your favourite wines chosen by a top class sommelier and enjoy how well behaved your 3 year old grandson is- So much so, the staff compliments him. 
Head back to the hotel and enjoy some more Ontario wine with your husband as you watch the stars sparkling over The 6ix.
