CHCH Morning Live: Multigenerational Travel
Last week, I talked about multigenerational travel on CHCH Morning Live. Multigenerational travel is a huge travel trend at the moment with 34% of vacations being taken with grandparents. There are many options for accommodations and types of holidays when considering large groups, different tastes, budgets, mobilities and interests.
Air BnB
Your group can enjoy the freedom of a house to yourself with an Air BnB. Grocery shopping and cooking meals at the house will help save some cash and is especially helpful when accommodating babies and small children. From your rented house, you can explore the big sites and discover the lesser known gems of new destination.
Cruises
A cruise gives you the opportunity to visit a number of different destinations but the real excitement is the ship itself. Whether it is a Disney, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, themed cruises are a great option for families. With targeted and varied age appropriate entertainment, activities, restaurants and more, families can really connect with one another on the high seas. You can even get adjoining rooms with your loved ones. It is a great way for families to travel together.
All Inclusives Resorts
All inclusive resorts are a great way for large groups to travel. With drinks, food and activities as part of the price, you never have to worry about splitting a bill with a cheap uncle or worry about arguing over a restaurant choice with picky eaters. Also, large groups can also get discounts.
Later this year, I am headed to the luxurious Royalton Riviera Cancun in Mexico, the ultimate family resort, available exclusively through Sunwing. This resort has a lot of repeat families who have now made this destination an annual holiday spot. Thirteen restaurants mean that everyone will have their appetites satisfied and twelve bars mean that the party can keep going into the night…as long as my parents want to watch the kids.
There are supervised kids clubs in designated kids pools and playgrounds (and a kids water park!!!!) so parents can relax on their own knowing that their kids are safe and enjoying themselves. At Royalton, Max & Ruby even join the holiday!
For those suffering from teen angst, there is a teens clubs with wifi, a Playstation room, air hockey, ping pong and DJ intro classes. Literally everyone is taken care of.
Whether it is my parents looking for some time alone, my siblings and I looking for a night out or grandparents looking for some quality time with their grandkids, everything and everyone is taken care of by Sunwing Vacations. All we need to do is focus on our family and creating life long memories.
Royalton Riviera Cancun has eight pools, three jacuzzis, 500 fitness classes and butler service: This is really the perfect multigenerational family vacation destination and I am pumped!
